FACILITY ASSISTANT
Job Overview:

We are looking for a versatile and skilled Facility Support and Maintenance Assistant to join our team at our medical facility. This role is not only crucial for maintaining cleanliness but also involves handling minor repairs and painting tasks to ensure the facility is both functional and visually appealing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of duties including daily cleaning, office organization, basic repairs, and painting as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and sanitizing various areas of the facility.

  • Undertake minor repairs like fixing leaky faucets, changing light bulbs, and performing basic carpentry work to maintain the facility's infrastructure.

  • Carry out painting jobs as required, ensuring a neat and professional finish, and maintaining the aesthetic appeal of the facility.

  • Respond swiftly to cleaning and repair emergencies or issues, ensuring minimum disruption to the facility’s operations.

  • Assist in organizing office spaces, managing inventory of supplies, and maintaining orderly storage areas.

  • Dispose of waste and biomedical trash safely, adhering to health and safety guidelines.

  • Replenish supplies like sanitizers, soaps, paper products, etc., in different areas of the facility.

  • Report significant maintenance issues to the management for more extensive repairs or professional intervention.

  • Support other staff in various operational tasks to contribute to the smooth functioning of the facility.

  • Comply with all safety protocols, policies, and procedures, particularly regarding patient privacy and confident

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience in cleaning, basic repairs, and painting, preferably in a healthcare or similar setting.

  • Knowledge of using basic hand and power tools.

  • Good understanding of cleaning techniques and safety procedures.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including lifting up to 30 pounds.

  • A clear background check.

  • Work Environment/Physical Demands:


This role involves a mix of tasks that require both physical labor and attention to detail, including moving around the facility, bending, lifting, and performing manual repairs and painting.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week

  • Monday to Friday

  • Weekends as needed
